avianlabs.ai is a review site. Reading it doesn’t require an account, and we built it to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what we do receive, under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Data we receive
- Server logs: IP address, browser, operating system, referring page and time of visit.
- Analytics events: which pages you open and how long you stay, in aggregated form.
- Emails: whatever you include when you write to us.
Why we use it
Logs help us spot errors and block abuse. Analytics tell us which reviews readers find useful, so we know what to update first. Emails let us answer your question. We don’t build advertising profiles and we don’t sell data.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for analytics and site settings. Casinos and affiliate networks set their own tracking cookies when you click a link to them; check their privacy notices for details. Your browser lets you refuse or clear cookies at any time.
Who processes data for us
Our web host, our analytics provider and our email provider process data on our behalf. Some of them store it outside Australia. We use providers that apply security and privacy standards comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
Server logs roll over within 90 days. Aggregated analytics stay longer because they don’t identify you. Emails are deleted once the conversation is finished, unless we need them to resolve a dispute.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold, ask for a correction or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. If we can’t resolve your concern, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner handles complaints: oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992.
